Stepping Up To Help

This is a story in two parts.

The first story is about Tanya. A Ukrainian woman who was traveling abroad when Russia first invaded. In the aftermath of the invasion, Tanya's mother, a 71 year old diabetic, was living alone in Donetsk, on the border of the Russian occupation zone, and she was running out of insulin.

The second part explores what happens after refugees leave their home countries and arrive in their new places of resettlement. By turning an eye to our own communities, right here in North Carolina, the story uncovers the incredible people who have stepped up to help.
